Suspect nabbed for allegedly stealing P330K, 3 phones in QC
Three mobile phones and cash worth P330,000 were allegedly stolen by a 24-year-old arrested suspect in Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City early Friday morning.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) reported the arrest of the suspect identified as alias “Rico” involved in an alleged theft.
Initial investigation of the Holy Spirit Police Station at 12:19 a.m. on Friday revealed that the male victim reportedly monitored his room through a closed-circuit television (CCTV) system and saw the suspect, who was renting an adjacent room on the third floor of the same residence, allegedly taking personal belongings from his room.
The victim subsequently reported the incident and responding police personnel promptly proceeded to the residence and apprehended the suspect inside his room.
Operatives found that the reported stolen items consisted of three mobile phones and cash amounting to P330,000.00 with a total estimated value of P359,000.
“The items have yet to be recovered,” the QCPD said.
The QCPD, meanwhile, reported that a theft complaint will be filed against the suspect before the Quezon City Office of the City Prosecutor.
