BBM’s SWS satisfaction rating plummets -11
Among those who knew about the SONA, 26 percent considered Marcos’ assessment of the country believable, while 37 percent found it unbelievable.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s net satisfaction rating fell further into the “poor” range in September, according to a Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey released Thursday.
The survey found that 35 percent of Filipinos were satisfied with Marcos’ performance, while 46 percent were dissatisfied and 20 percent were undecided. This produced a net satisfaction rating of -11, down four points from -7 in June.
The rating declined in three of the country’s four major areas.
Balance Luzon registered the highest score at zero, followed by the Visayas at -13, Mindanao at -21 and Metro Manila at -27. Mindanao was the only area where Marcos’ rating improved, rising 14 points from -35 in June.
The survey also measured public reception of Marcos’ 27 July State of the Nation Address. Only 47 percent said they had heard or read about the speech, with social media and other websites the most common sources of information.
Among those who knew about the SONA, 26 percent considered Marcos’ assessment of the country believable, while 37 percent found it unbelievable. This resulted in a net believability score of -11, eight points lower than the -3 recorded in September 2025.
The survey was conducted from 21 to 27 September among 1,500 adults through face-to-face interviews. It has a national margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
