Vice Ganda dishes out college days memories
Vice also looked back on her own memories at the fast-food’s branch in Morayta during her college years at Far Eastern University.
Food has always been connected to memories for Vice Ganda.
The comedian and TV host shared that preparing something for someone is one way of showing love, because the effort behind a meal can make it more meaningful.
“‘Pag mahal mo ang isang tao, hindi mo siya pakakainin basta basta. You will make sure na ‘yung taong pakakainin mo, taong mahalaga sa’yo, ay ikaw mismo ang naghanda (When you love someone, you won’t just feed them anything. You will make sure that the person you’re feeding, someone important to you, receives something that you personally prepared),” she said.
Vice shared the story while attending the Chicken McDo Experts Competition, where she talked about the personal connections people often form around food and familiar places.
She recalled meeting an employee who became emotional after seeing her on the drive thru.
“She cried pero nagpa-picture muna siya (She cried. She asked to take a photo with me first),” Vice said.
The employee told Vice that seeing her standee at the store reminded her that things would eventually get better.
“May standee ako sa store nila. She sees me everyday and she is reminded that everything’s going to be okay.”
The employee also shared that watching It’s Showtime before work helped her feel lighter.
“Bago daw siya pumasok sa trabaho, nanonood siya ng It’s Showtime. Gumagaan loob niya, ang pakiramdam niya (Before she goes to work, she watches It’s Showtime. It makes her feel lighter and better).”

“Kung alam niyo, ‘yung branch sa Morayta, ’yun ang kauna-unahang store. Doon kami tumatambay kapag nagce-celebrate kami, kapag mataas grades namin, kapag nagdedelikado kami (If you know, the Morayta branch was the very first store. That was where we stayed when we celebrated, when we got high grades, and even when we were struggling).”
Vice recalled how she and her classmates would leave personal notes on tissue paper during their visits.
“Sinusulatan namin ‘yung tissue, nilalagyan namin ng date at mga pangalan ng mga kasama namin, tapos tinitipon-tipon naming magkakaibigan (We would write on the tissues, put the date and the names of the people we were with, then we would collect them as friends).”
Years later, those simple moments remain meaningful for Vice Ganda — reminders of friendships, milestones and the places that witnessed different chapters of her life before the stardom that made her “unkabogable” today.
