The Department of Health (DoH) has launched the pilot school-based implementation of its Yaman ng Kalusugan Program at the Philippine Science High School (PSHS) main campus, providing comprehensive primary healthcare services to 1,440 students and 340 staff members.

The launch on Wednesday was conducted in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology, the Philippine Health Insurance Corp., and the local government of Quezon City.

Health Secretary Edwin Mercado stressed during the event that the campus initiative, designated “YAKAP sa Pisay,” represents an ongoing primary care framework rather than a temporary medical mission.
