PSE, SEC ring the Financial Literacy bell
The Philippine Stock Exchange Inc. (PSE) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) participated in this year’s Ring the Bell for Financial Literacy campaign of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) through an opening bell ceremony held on Tuesday, 6 October 2026.
More than 50 WFE member organizations joined in the Ring the Bell for Financial Literacy 2026, in support of World Investor Week spearheaded by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO).
A simple conviction
“Since 2019, the Philippine Stock Exchange has rung this bell for financial literacy, in step with the World Federation of Exchanges and IOSCO’s World Investor Week,” said PSE president and CEO Ramon S. Monzon. “We do it because we hold a simple conviction: education is the foundation of investor protection. An informed investor is a protected investor, and our vision is a Philippines where every citizen is an empowered investor. That vision is taking shape.”
During the ceremony, Mr. Monzon highlighted the SEC’s market education initiatives, including the certified securities course certifications, educational tours to PSE, provincial roadshows, key strategic partnerships, and Stock Market 101 content development for social media.
He also announced PSE’s lineup of activities for the coming year, designed to boost stock market education and public engagement. This includes the return of PSE Bull Run on January 24, 2027, a revamped PSE Academy featuring a full Stock Trading Game, the launch of the PSE Podcast, and PSE’s return to campuses through University Roadshows and Investment Expo.
