All of nature’s wonders in one Zambales
Despite being hit by previous typhoons and monsoons, the province of Zambales continues to bounce back, showcasing all of its natural wonders.
From beautiful terrains and mountains to breathtaking horizons and clear rivers, Zambales is a must-visit northern destination, particularly in the municipality of Cabangan.
The main drainage systems and prominent rivers in Cabangan include the Tanguay, Yabel, Kileng and Anonang rivers, alongside popular local eco-tourism spots like the Dapya River (part of the Binaong River system) and Agbobotilya River in Sitio Maporac.
Cabangan also boasts a wide array of beaches — both public and privately owned — that serve as perfect spots for catching the sunset.
While Cabangan has its own share of hills, the most captivating ones — dubbed the “New Zealand of Zambales” for their rolling green pastures — are found at Lake Mapanuepe, located in Barangay Aglao in the neighboring municipality of San Marcelino.
Indeed, the Almighty never fails to provide surprises; it is simply up to us to discover and explore them.
