3 arrested, ₱10.5K shabu seized; 2 firearms yielded in Nueva Ecija ops
CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Nueva Ecija police have arrested three persons, seized over ₱10,500 worth of shabu, and secured two loose firearms in separate law enforcement operations across the province, according to reports from the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3).
The two suspects were apprehended in buy-bust operations in Jaen and San Isidro on October 3, where authorities recovered about 1.55 grams of suspected methamphetamine valued at ₱10,540. Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (RA 9165) are being readied against both.
A third person was captured in Barangay Sapang, Jaen, on an outstanding arrest warrant for robbery. He was turned over to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group for proper disposition.
Separately, residents in Cuyapo and Sto. Domingo surrendered one .45-caliber pistol and one .38-caliber revolver without serial number under the government’s Balik-Baril Program, PRO3 confirmed.
Nueva Ecija Provincial Director PCol. Ricthie R. Claravall cited the results as proof of sustained community-backed efforts against drugs, loose weapons, and wanted persons.
“Peace and order is a shared duty — your vigilance helps keep our communities safe,” he said, urging the public to keep reporting suspicious activity.
