Woman arrested for illegal recruitment, human trafficking
A woman was arrested by authorities for illegal recruitment and human trafficking at Brgy. Malabanias in Angeles City, Pampanga on 29 September 2026.
According to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), the CIDG Angeles City Field Unit, together with Station 4, Angeles City Police Office, and Sto. Tomas Municipal Police Station, Pampanga Provincial Police Office conducted a manhunt operation that resulted in the arrest of the suspect.
The female suspect was arrested by virtue of 10 Warrants of Arrest for Illegal Recruitment, Qualified Trafficking, Qualified Trafficking in Persons, Estafa, and violations of the Securities Regulation Code, issued by courts of Mandaluyong City; Calamba City, Laguna; Bacoor City, Cavite; Pasay City; and Parañaque City in 2024, 2025, and 2026, respectively.
No bail was recommended for the charges of Illegal Recruitment, Qualified Trafficking, and Qualified Trafficking in Persons.
In a report submitted to the CIDG Director, PMGEN Robert AA Morico II, stated that the arrested accused, female, 36 years old, businesswoman, is listed as Regional Most Wanted Person of Police Regional Office 4A.
As a backgrounder, sometime in 2024 in Calamba City, Laguna, the accused, together with other individuals, allegedly recruited persons to work as massage therapists providing home-service massages with alleged “extra services.”
The CIDG leadership commends PCOL Grant A Gollod, the Regional Chief of the CIDG Regional Field Unit 3, and the CIDG Angeles City Field Unit led by PMAJ Harold A Landicho for the successful apprehension of the wanted person. The arrest highlights the Unit’s commitment in helping all victims and their families attain the justice they deserve - by capturing all accused and putting them behind bars.
