It was a star-studded evening of fashion, music, cocktails, and friendship as Dr. Aivee Teo celebrated her birthday and 17 years of the Aivee Clinic at The Iron Fairies. Aptly themed “Your 2009 Era,” the celebration paid homage to the year it all began, with guests invited to channel their 2009 selves and bring the style, personality, and unmistakable energy of that era to life.

After several years of hosting her birthday celebrations in a more subdued speakeasy setting, Aivee felt it was time for a change. “I wanted something with a different vibe—more vibrant, edgy and festive,” said the meticulous host. Her search for a venue where 180 guests could let loose, dance, enjoy the music and celebrate together eventually led her to The Iron Fairies. With its distinctive, atmospheric setting, the venue gave the evening a decidedly different character from Aivee’s previous, more intimate birthday gatherings.

The guest list brought together an eclectic mix of family and friends, Aivee Leaguers, her Assumption College and dermatology classmates, and loyal clients who have been part of the Aivee journey over the past 17 years. An indulgent selection of appetizers and drinks flowed throughout the evening, while The Iron Fairies’ resident band, The Flavor, kept the energy high with a lively soundtrack of familiar songs from the era. Guests sang along and danced well into the night, with a saxophonist adding another special touch to the festivities.

Spotted among the crowd were Aivee Leaguers and showbiz stars Kathryn Bernardo, Maricel Soriano, Maja Salvador, Kylie Verzosa, Issa Pressman and Jake Cuenca, alongside Aivee’s stylish friends including Erica Concepcion Reyes, Jackie Ejército, Marielle Po, Tootsy Angara and Patti Ang.

“I loved seeing everyone really embrace the 2009 theme. The outfits were so much fun, and it was amazing to see how everyone interpreted their 2009 self,” said the delighted celebrant, who herself looked every inch the birthday star in a white Self-Portrait dress edged with feathers. “It was really wonderful seeing so many different people from different chapters of my life all come together to celebrate with us.”

The celebration reached its sweetest moment when a shimmering two-tier Dulce de Leche cake was wheeled in, its top tier seemingly floating above a cascade of delicate white fondant butterflies. Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Moira dela Torre led the traditional birthday song as guests raised their glasses to the celebrant. A beaming Aivee then blew out the candles, surrounded by her loving family, led by her mother, Vice Mayor Imelda Aguilar, her husband, Dr. Z Teo, and countless friends.

When asked what she wished for most on her special day, Aivee readily replied, “My greatest wish is to continuously be blessed with good health in mind, body and spirit, so that I can continue to give excellent care, to keep learning and innovating, and to lead Aivee Clinic with the same passion and heart that we’ve had since the beginning.”

Judging by the energy of the evening, the journey is far from over. With 17 years behind her, a community of people who have shared in her story, and a clear vision for what lies ahead, the stars certainly seem aligned for Aivee’s next chapter.
