Junior Altas eye 4th straight triumph

University of Perpetual Help System Dalta seeks to secure its fourth straight victory when it battles La Salle Greenhills in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Season 102 juniors’ basketball tournament on Thursday at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

Action starts at 12 p.m. with the Junior Altas determined to sustain their momentum and break free from a three-way logjam with Letran College and Emilio Aguinaldo College with 3-1 win-loss record.

After dropping their opening-day assignment, the Junior Altas found their groove and won three straight games, the last was a masterful 104-97 conquest of Arellano University, where Louie Rosales, Sizco Roquid and Brian Orca submitted solid numbers.

Rosales fired 20 points, five rebounds, two assists and three steals while transferees Roquid and Orca chipped in 19 and 13 markers, respectively, to underscore the firepower of Perpetual.

Meanwhile, Mapua University and Arellano will tip things off when the collide in the 10 a.m. appetizer.
