Jennylyn Mercado chooses silence amid Patrick Garcia issue, appeals to public to stop the hate

Jennylyn Mercado is choosing peace and privacy rather than publicly responding to recent statements made by Patrick Garcia.

In an official statement, Aguila Entertainment announced that the actress will neither issue a personal comment nor grant interviews regarding Patrick’s remarks on Ogie Diaz’s YouTube channel.

While acknowledging Patrick’s right to tell his story, Jennylyn has decided against presenting her own version of events. Her management explained that the actress believes keeping the matter private is the better course for the families involved.

Rather than allowing the situation to fuel further controversy, Jennylyn also made an appeal to the public: stop directing hate toward Patrick and his family.

She particularly asked people to refrain from attacking Patrick’s daughter, Michelle, stressing that family members should not become targets of online criticism because of the issue involving their parents.

The statement also assured supporters that Jennylyn and her son Jazz are doing well. According to her management, they are enjoying a happy family life together with Jennylyn’s husband Dennis, their daughter Dylan, and her stepson Calix.

Jennylyn and Patrick share Jazz, whose welfare and privacy remain an important consideration as discussions about their past resurface publicly.

For Jennylyn, however, there appears to be no intention of turning the situation into a public exchange of accusations or competing narratives. Her decision is to leave Patrick free to tell his story while keeping her own side private—and asking the public to extend the same consideration to the families caught in the conversation.
