Central Luzon cops receive 48 new motorcycles

The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) received 48 Unified 911 Emergency Response Motorcycles during a blessing and turnover ceremony held at Camp Captain Julian Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga on 30 September 2026.

Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Juanito Victor C. Remulla Jr, PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C Nartatez and PRO3 Regional Director Police Brigadier General Jess B Mendez led the turnover ceremony along with other police and government officials.

The new motorcycles will give PRO3 responders greater mobility and help them reach emergencies faster, especially in areas where larger vehicles may have difficulty gaining access.

The turnover supports the government’s Unified 911 system and complements the Safer Cities Initiative, both of which strengthen emergency response, police visibility, and coordination with local communities.

It also supports the PNP Focused Agenda of Chief Nartatez, particularly the push for more responsive police operations and the effective use of resources in serving the public.

Mendez assured that the motorcycles will be properly maintained and deployed where they are needed most.

"Every minute matters during an emergency. These motorcycles will help our personnel respond faster and bring police assistance closer to the people," Mendez said.

The PRO3 also held a Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Regional Headquarters and Regional Support Units Building.

The activity was led by PBGEN Reynaldo S. Ogay Jr., Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PRO3, together with members of the Command Group, Regional Staff, and other personnel.

The new facility is intended to provide a more functional working environment for Regional Headquarters and Regional Support Units, while improving coordination, administrative support, and the delivery of services within the organization.

The groundbreaking marks another step in PRO3’s continuing efforts to improve its facilities and strengthen institutional capability in support of more efficient police service.
