Prime Waste Solutions backs environmental drives

Waste management operator Prime Waste Solutions expanded its regional sustainability programs this month, recovering more than 3.2 metric tons of marine debris and planting 1,400 native tree seedlings across host communities in Luzon and the Visayas.

As part of the annual International Coastal Cleanup on 19 September, PWS employee volunteers cleared 3,264 kilograms of plastic and municipal waste from coastal areas in Bataan while providing logistical waste-hauling support for cleanup drives in Barangay Bacayan, Cebu.

The coastal collection followed a 15 September reforestation effort under the company’s Prime Kalikasan program, where nearly 100 employees, students, and local residents planted 700 Narra and 700 Ylang-Ylang seedlings at the PWS project site in Barangay Planas, Porac, Pampanga.

PWS operates a semi-automated waste management facility in Porac capable of processing more than 2,000 tons of municipal waste daily.
