Modernization of Mactan-Cebu Airport pushed

CEBU CITY -- Cebuano businessman and philanthropist Blake Nelson Go pledged to support local economic and infrastructure projects following a joint meeting with Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro and Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival.

The discussions focused on public-private collaboration to improve local living standards, enhance public services, and boost economic competitiveness across the province.

Go, an aviation specialist holding credentials from the National Business Aviation Association, highlighted the modernization of Mactan-Cebu International Airport as a key regional priority, advocating for elevated standards in safety, operational efficiency, and international connectivity to drive tourism and trade.

In addition to his aviation advocacy, Go serves as vice president for business development and finance at Prince Stores, a regional retail enterprise that expanded access to affordable goods while donating over P10 million in medical protective gear to provincial health facilities during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Go, who also sits on the reactivated Cebu Provincial Sports Commission, has directed approximately P15 million toward local disaster relief, medical missions, and renewable energy installations, expressing continued commitment to grassroots youth development and provincial infrastructure projects.
