LTO Region 1 joins National Family Week observance

Personnel of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region 1 joined the observance of the 34th National Family Week through the “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day” on September 28.

The activity was conducted in line with Memorandum Circular No. 136, which encourages government agencies and other institutions to set aside time for activities that recognize the importance of the Filipino family.

LTO Region 1 personnel took part in the shared-meal activity, highlighting the simple tradition of families gathering around the table to spend time together, communicate and strengthen their relationships.

The observance also provided an opportunity for employees to pause from their regular office duties and spend meaningful time with their families, particularly as the annual National Family Week draws attention to the role of families in Filipino society.

The activity was participated in by personnel of the LTO regional office under Regional Director Glorioso Daniel Z. Martinez and Assistant Regional Director Engr. Eric C. Suriben.

“Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day” is observed as part of National Family Week, with this year’s activity held on September 28. The annual observance seeks to highlight the importance of family interaction and shared experiences in maintaining close family ties.

For LTO Region 1 employees, the observance centered on a simple message: amid work and other daily responsibilities, making time for family remains an important part of maintaining strong relationships at home.
