10 arrested, P738,900 worth of suspected illegal drugs seized in Western Visayas

Ten individuals were arrested and suspected illegal drugs worth P738,900 were seized in eight anti-drug operations conducted by the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) across Western Visayas from September 26 to 27, 2026.

Police said a total of 108 grams of suspected shabu and three grams of suspected kush were confiscated during the operations, based on the estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP).

Of those arrested, two were classified as high-value individuals (HVI), while eight were identified as street-level individuals (SLI).

The biggest haul was recorded by the Antique Police Provincial Office, which conducted two operations resulting in the arrest of two suspects and the seizure of 69 grams of suspected shabu valued at P469,200.

In Capiz, one operation led to the arrest of three individuals and the confiscation of 14 grams of suspected shabu.

The Guimaras Police Provincial Office reported one operation that resulted in one arrest and the seizure of one gram of suspected shabu.

Meanwhile, the Iloilo Police Provincial Office arrested one individual and seized 15 grams of suspected shabu in a separate operation.

In Iloilo City, three operations resulted in the arrest of three individuals and the confiscation of nine grams of suspected shabu and three grams of suspected kush.

PRO6 Regional Director Police Brigadier General Randulf T. Tuaño commended the operating units for conducting intelligence-driven operations against illegal drugs.

Tuaño said the campaign should not be measured solely by the volume of drugs seized or the number of suspects arrested, but also by efforts to disrupt the illegal drug supply and protect communities.

He also stressed the importance of intelligence gathering, validation, coordination with partner agencies, and information from the public in identifying and holding drug personalities accountable.

PRO6 said it would continue its intelligence-driven and community-centered policing efforts against illegal drugs across Western Visayas.
