Olivia Rodrigo begins ‘Unraveled’ era

Olivia Rodrigo is turning the page on a new chapter of her career with the launch of her Unraveled Tour, a theatrical concert experience that unfolds like the changing seasons.

The Grammy-winning singer opened the tour in Hartford with a production divided into five acts — Spring, Summer, Summer Twilight, Autumn and Winter — using each segment to guide fans through different moods and moments in her music.

Sharing photos from opening night, Rodrigo revealed that the show had been more than a year in the making.

“First night of the Unraveled Tour was magic!!!! Been planning this show out in my head for the last year and seeing it all come together was a dream come true,” she wrote on Instagram.

The carefully curated setlist reflected the tour’s evolving narrative. Rodrigo performed hits including “good 4 u,” “deja vu,” “vampire,” “traitor,” “favorite crime” and “drivers license,” while also introducing newer tracks such as “drop dead,” “u + me = <3,” “my way,” “serena joy,” “purple,” “stupid song,” “maggots for brains,” “begged,” “cigarette smoke,” “honeybee,” “less,” “the cure” and “expectations.” She wrapped up the night with an encore featuring “deja vu,” “all-american bitch” and “expectations.”

The show also paused for a personal moment as the audience sang “Happy Birthday” to Rodrigo’s mother before she returned to the stage.

Rodrigo thanked fans for embracing the new production and also acknowledged creative collaborators Es Devlin, Hussein Chalayan and Human Person, who helped bring her vision to life.

With its cinematic staging and season-inspired storytelling, Unraveled signals a fresh creative direction for Rodrigo, one that moves beyond a traditional pop concert and into a more immersive live experience.
