‘Dive Into You’ takes romance back in time

What if the past could be rewritten, but only at the cost of changing yourself?

That question takes center stage in Dive Into You, Rakuten Viki’s newest original Korean drama that combines romance, fantasy and time travel in a story about love, fate and the choices that shape a lifetime.

Starring Kim Ji Yeon, Park Seo Ham, Jang Se Hyuk and Moon Seung You, the 12-episode series follows a famous actress whose carefully built present is disrupted when an unexpected discovery gives her a chance to revisit the past.

Kim Ji Yeon plays Yoon Ha Na, a top celebrity who, together with her twin brother Yoon Ha Ru (Jang Se Hyuk), discovers that an old camcorder holds the key to traveling through time. Their mission is deeply personal: to prevent the tragic fate of Jung Woo Jae (Park Seo Ham), Ha Na’s childhood friend and first love who died while protecting her.

But changing destiny proves complicated. When Ha Na returns to her younger years, she finds herself navigating the past from an unexpected perspective, inside her twin brother’s body. The unusual situation creates a series of challenges as she attempts to reconnect with Woo Jae while keeping their mission from falling apart.

Beyond its fantasy premise, Dive Into You explores the emotional weight of first love and the desire to undo moments of regret. The series asks whether knowing what lies ahead is enough to change the outcome — or if some connections are destined to find their way back to each other.

The drama also marks a new creative venture for its production partners, bringing together Dexter Pictures — the content arm of Dexter Studios, known for the Along with the Gods franchise — Japan’s Amuse and Viki. The project serves as Dexter Pictures’ first original drama, with Viki joining as both investor and producer.

Dive Into You premiered on Viki on 26 September and is available with subtitles in multiple languages, including English, Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese and Malay.
