Tanza sustains free e-jeepney service for residents

TANZA, Cavite — Residents of Tanza continue to benefit from the municipal government’s free e-jeepney service linking Barangay Capipisa and Barangay Paradahan 1.

Ten electric jeepneys are assigned to the route from Monday to Friday, operating from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., providing commuters with an alternative that helps cut their daily transportation expenses.

The local government said the program forms part of its continuing transport assistance for residents, particularly those who regularly travel along the route for work, school and other daily activities.

Tanza Mayor Archangelo “SM” Matro thanked local taxpayers for supporting municipal programs, saying public funds help sustain services intended to ease the burden on residents.

Commuters have welcomed the continued operation of the free rides, citing the savings they get from regular fare expenses.

The program remains in operation as the municipality continues to provide mobility assistance to residents through its fleet of e-jeepneys.
