Baguio defends biz-friendly title

BAGUIO CITY — Baguio City has secured a spot among the top five finalists for the 2026 Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit awards in the City Level 1B category, officials announced.

A city delegation recently completed its final presentation before a panel of judges for the annual awards program, organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI).

The delegation included representatives from the City Budget Office, City Tourism Office, City Planning, Development, and Sustainability Office, Management Information Technology Office, and the Permits and Licensing Office.

The PCCI annual awards recognize local governments that demonstrate excellence in good governance, ease of doing business, digital transformation, and sustainable economic development.
