Sapporo Beerfest returns

Sapporo Beerfest is back at Yawaragi, Hotel Okura Manila, last 18 and 19 September for two nights of good beer, great Japanese food, live entertainment, and plenty of time to catch up with friends.

That year’s celebration was a special one as Sapporo marked 150 years of Japanese brewing heritage. First brewed in Hokkaido in 1876, Sapporo had grown from a local Japanese beer into a name recognized around the world.

Guests could enjoy free-flowing Sapporo Premium and Sapporo Premium Black on draft, plus the special “Holiday Beer”—a 50/50 mix of the two that combined the crispness of Sapporo Premium with the richer, roasted notes of Sapporo Premium Black.

And there was plenty to eat alongside the beer. Yawaragi’s Japanese buffet brought together sushi and sashimi, tempura, teppanyaki, robatayaki-style grilled dishes, premium meats, and Japanese-inspired desserts. With live cooking stations and plenty of choices, it was the kind of spread that made you want to go back for another plate.

The night didn’t stop at dinner. DJ sets and live performances kept things lively, while games, activities, and exclusive keepsakes gave guests even more to enjoy throughout the evening.
