NCRPO deploys more police motorcycles to boost 911 emergency response

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has strengthened its emergency response capability through the deployment of additional police motorcycles to support the 911 emergency hotline service across Metro Manila.

“We are grateful for the support of [DILG Secretary] Secretary Jonvic Remulla and our PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. Their support is crucial in strengthening our capability to provide faster and more responsive police services to the people of Metro Manila,” said NCRPO Officer-in-Charge Police Brigadier General Christopher Abrahano.

Abrahano said the additional motorcycles will help police responders reach emergency situations faster, particularly in areas where heavy traffic and congested roads may delay conventional patrol vehicles.

“Every second matters during an emergency. These additional motorcycles will give our responders greater mobility and allow them to reach people in distress as quickly as possible,” he said.

The motorcycles will complement existing police response vehicles and personnel, particularly in responding to urgent calls received through the 911 emergency hotline.

“When the public calls 911, we want our response to be fast, coordinated, and reliable. These motorcycles will help us navigate traffic and bring police assistance closer to the community,” the NCRPO chief added.

Abrahano also directed police commanders to ensure that motorcycle responders are properly positioned in strategic areas and are ready to respond to emergency calls.

“This is not simply about adding motorcycles. It is about improving our entire response system—from receiving the call, dispatching the nearest available unit, and getting our personnel to the scene safely and immediately,” he said.

The NCRPO also reminded the public to use the 911 emergency hotline responsibly and provide accurate information, including the exact location and nature of the emergency, to help police responders act promptly.
