Jackson Wang signs off one era with ‘Thank You’

Global star Jackson Wang is entering a new chapter in his career with the release of his new single, “Thank You,” his first music release since signing with Roc Nation.

More than just another comeback, the song serves as a heartfelt tribute to the people who have supported him through every stage of his journey. Its accompanying black-and-white music video, directed by Ojun Kwon and shot on an iPhone 18 Pro, features 30 fans from more than 80 countries who were selected to appear alongside the singer.

Each scene reflects a chapter of Wang’s life, from his early years in gymnastics and fencing to his rise as a global music star. The people, outfits and circles featured throughout the video symbolize memories and individuals who helped shape his journey.

The release also marks Wang’s first project under Roc Nation, the entertainment company founded by Jay-Z.

“We’re excited to have Jackson Wang join our family here at Roc Nation,” Jay-Z said in a statement. “He’s an incredible artist with a very special drive, and we can’t wait to see what he does next.”

“Thank You” arrives after a milestone year for Wang. His MAGICMAN 2 album debuted at number 13 on the Billboard 200, while its accompanying world tour included sold-out shows across North America and Latin America, as well as his first MAGICMAN concert in Manila last year.

The Philippines remains one of the memorable stops on the tour for Wang. During his Manila concert, he thanked Filipino fans and encouraged them to hold on to hope beyond the music. After the show, he described the experience as “insane” and said he had finally understood what the “Manila vibe” was all about.

Earlier this year, Wang was also named the first global ambassador of the International Fencing Federation (FIE), returning to the sport where he first made his mark before pursuing music full time.

“Thank You” offers a more personal side of Wang, who takes a step back from the spotlight to thank the fans and the memories that have defined his career.
