31-year-old arrested with P34k suspected shabu in Dagupan

A 31-year-old jobless man was arrested after police seized five grams of suspected shabu worth P34,000 in a buy-bust operation in Dagupan City, Pangasinan on 22 September 2026.

The operation started at 8 p.m. and was conducted by personnel of Dagupan City Police Office Police Station 3, the City Police Drug Enforcement Unit, Criminal Investigation Unit, PNP Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit 1 and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 1.

Police said the suspect, who has a live-in partner and is a resident of Dagupan City, was arrested during the operation conducted in coordination with PDEA Region 1.

The suspected shabu was contained in one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet.

Authorities also recovered one genuine P1,000 bill used as marked money and 33 pieces of P1,000 boodle money.

Police said the seized evidence was inventoried and marked at the scene in the presence of the suspect and mandatory witnesses, as required by law.

The suspect is expected to face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
