Michelin taps BSB Junrose for commercial tires
BSB Junrose has been appointed as one of Michelin’s new importer-distributors in the Philippines, with the company assigned to serve commercial transportation and fleet customers.
The appointment gives BSB Junrose a new product category within its commercial vehicle business. It will distribute Michelin commercial tires for selected vehicle applications in the local market.
Michelin has increased its importer-distributors in the Philippines from four to seven. The wider network gives the tire company more specialized channels for different vehicle and industrial applications.
BSB Junrose president Ian Bangayan said the new role adds to the company’s existing support for businesses that rely heavily on working vehicles.
“BSB Junrose is strengthening its role in commercial mobility by supporting fleet operators in selected critical areas that contribute to vehicle reliability, uptime and operational efficiency,” Bangayan said.
“The addition of Michelin commercial tires expands that capability into another essential area of fleet operations.”
Fleet vehicles often spend much of the day on the road and operate under tighter schedules than privately owned vehicles. Their tires also face different demands depending on route conditions, vehicle load and daily use.
Tire choice can affect several operating costs. Rolling resistance can influence fuel consumption, while correct tire pressure and proper load matching can help manage wear and service life.
Using tires suited to a particular vehicle and operating environment can also reduce avoidable downtime. Across a large fleet, even small differences in tire life or vehicle availability can affect day-to-day operations.
BSB Junrose said fleet customers will receive product information and guidance based on the Michelin commercial tires available through the company.
The distributor already supplies other automotive products used by commercial fleets. Its current portfolio includes batteries, lubricants, grease, clutches, bearings and selected engine components.
Michelin tires now add another part of the vehicle maintenance picture as the company works with operators that depend on regular vehicle use for deliveries, logistics and passenger transport.
The commercial tire partnership is being introduced to customers at Transport & Logistics Philippines 2026. BSB Junrose is exhibiting at Booths 208 and 209, where visitors can learn about the Michelin products available and the vehicle applications they are designed to serve.
An image included in the press material also lists several Michelin commercial tire products. These include the X Multi Energy Z for regional, long-distance and urban transport, the X Multi D+ Tire for regional and urban transport, and the X Multi Energy T2 for regional and long-distance transport.
Bangayan said commercial vehicles depend heavily on keeping downtime to a minimum.
“Commercial vehicles earn their keep on the road,” he said. “Our goal is to support fleet operators in the critical areas where the right product and the right guidance can help protect reliability and uptime.”
BSB Junrose operates in the local automotive aftermarket and distributes vehicle parts and related products across the Philippines.
