Law student falls to death

A 24-year-old law student died last Friday morning after falling from the fourth floor of a residential condominium in Bonifacio Global City, police disclosed on Sunday.

The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. on 18 September at Fort Victoria in Barangay Fort Bonifacio, according to an initial police report.

A security officer and a maintenance worker found the victim, a Filipino student attending a local law school in BGC, outside the building after hearing a loud impact.

Security personnel had completed a morning briefing shortly after 7 a.m. and returned to the lobby, police said.

Approximately 30 minutes later, a guard went upstairs and heard the sound upon opening the door to the security barracks.

The noise drew the attention of staff in other parts of the building, leading security and maintenance personnel to check the area, where they found the victim on the ground and requested emergency assistance.

The incident was initially reported to authorities around 9:10 a.m., with the Taguig City Police Station desk officially taking the report at 10:28 a.m.

Taguig Police Chief Col. Julius Añonuevo said investigators are examining multiple possibilities, including suicide, but have not made a final determination.
