Did Kim Chiu take a sabbatical to avoid pregnancy rumors?

Talks of late suggest that Kim Chiu is taking sabbatical in her hosting chores for It’s Showtime.

The sabbatical, the rumors say, was Chiu’s way of keeping her mental health intact as she’s saddled with personal issues with her sister Lakam whom she dragged into a court battle after she allegedly failed to return about P44.4 million from their business.

Reportedly, Chiu is also avoiding to address rumors of her pregnancy, which is why she’s decided to temporarily leave It’s Showtime.

As it is, Chiu has not addressed persistent rumors that she’s having a baby soon, something that’s both unsettling and intriguing.

Her rumored boyfriend, Paulo Avelino, believed to be the father of her child, has chosen not to address the issue, too.

Why Jericho Rosales is reluctant

Jericho Rosales admits he initially hesitated to play a character in The Loyalty Game: Level Up as his role is one that is damaged.

“I was reluctant to accept the character as I really play a very damaged,  disturbed character. I mean distorted are the beliefs of my character,” he said during the series’ mediacon.

The role, Rosales admits, was a big challenge in his television acting career.

“It’s a bit challenging for me so I had to prepare. I  have to not judge my character. I have to really separate myself from this. I have to believe that there are reasons why he’s doing these things,” he added.

Rosales plays Benjamin “Ben” Santos, a respected lawyer and senatorial candidate in The Loyalty Game: Level Up which starts airing on free TV starting 5 October. It will take the third slot in the primetime block  via Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, ALLTV2, A2Z and TV5.

Julia Barretto, Joshua Garcia's chemistry

There’s palpable chemistry between Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia.

From the time they first worked together to their last box-office hit, Un/Happy For You, in 2024, the magic never left.

After two years, Barretto and Garcia are back in each other’s loving arms, on screen, that is. They’re the lead stars of Always Yours, Never Mine.

When asked about their palpable chemistry, Barretto and Garcia could not exactly point where it is coming from.

For Barretto, it’s something innate, something that comes from within.

“I think we just enjoy doing what  we do. We do it together. When you’re honest, I think it comes out naturally. I really think it helps that Josh and have known  each other for quite a while that you know, we could be ourselves,” she explained.

“We are reacting as actors. She gives me something and I just respond and react. Chemistry will eventually come out,” Garcia explained.

“You cannot manufacture chemistry.  It’s natural,” Garcia added.
