Lanao Norte strengthens local data systems

LANAO DEL NORTE — The Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte is strengthening its local data systems to support evidence-based planning and decision-making through initiatives discussed during a joint meeting of the Provincial CBMS Coordinating Board and Provincial Statistics Committee on 27 August.

The meeting, chaired by Gov. Mohamad Khalid Q. Dimaporo, focused on improving local government units’ capacity to generate, manage and use accurate and timely data.

A key agenda item was the 2027 CBMS Resource Allocation Tool, which will cover all 22 municipalities in the province. The board endorsed a resolution seeking the necessary support and resources from LGUs for its implementation.

The Provincial Statistics Committee also discussed the compilation of Provincial Product Accounts, timely submission of approved building permit reports to the Philippine Statistics Authority and preparations for the 37th National Statistics Month in October.

Dimaporo approved a resolution encouraging all LGUs to participate in the month-long observance and related activities.
