Catapang warns public vs fake BuCor sites
BuCor’s Recruitment and Information Technology departments confirmed that both sites are fraudulent following an open-source intelligence investigation.
Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) director general Gregorio Pio Catapang Jr. warned the public, particularly prospective applicants, against two fraudulent websites impersonating the agency’s official e-recruitment platform.
Catapang urged applicants to conduct recruitment transactions only through the official BuCor website or authorized communication channels.
The two sites — e-bucor-rms.vercel.app and bucor-recruitment.online — claim to represent BuCor’s e-recruitment system but have no affiliation with the agency.

He warned that fake recruitment sites could expose applicants to personal data theft, financial exploitation and misinformation.
The first site allows users to register, log in and recover passwords but has no identifiable developer or organization behind it.
The second domain was recently registered and uses privacy services to conceal its registrant, according to the investigation.
Catapang urged applicants to remain vigilant, saying fraudulent sites undermine public trust and exploit people seeking employment opportunities.
