NephroPlus expands dialysis network

Dialysis care provider NephroPlus Philippines Inc. has opened three new dialysis centers in the country, expanding its network to 53 facilities nationwide, including eight outside Luzon.

The new centers are located in Abuyog, Leyte; Davao City; and Quezon City, as the company seeks to bring hemodialysis services closer to patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD).

In Metro Manila, NephroPlus opened a hospital-based dialysis center inside Villarosa Hospital in Quezon City, providing hemodialysis services to patients in the city and nearby communities.

The company said having dialysis facilities closer to patients’ homes could help reduce the physical, financial and emotional burden associated with frequent travel for treatment.

Aside from the newly opened facilities, NephroPlus operates centers in Cadiz City and Bacolod City in Negros Occidental, Calapan in Oriental Mindoro, Ipil in Zamboanga Sibugay, Cagayan de Oro and Zamboanga City.

With eight centers now operating across the Visayas and Mindanao, the company said the expansion is intended to address the need for accessible dialysis care in both urban areas and underserved communities.

“Every new center is a reflection of our commitment to making quality dialysis care more accessible to Filipino patients,” said Gowtham Arumugam, country head of NephroPlus.

“Our expansion across the Visayas and Mindanao, together with the opening of our Villarosa Hospital center in Quezon City, allows us to reach more communities and support more patients in their continuing journey with kidney disease,” he added.

NephroPlus said it is maintaining standardized clinical protocols and continuous training of healthcare professionals as it expands its network, with the aim of providing consistent and reliable dialysis services across its centers.

The company operates more than 500 dialysis clinics across Asia, including its Philippine network.
