Maxim sets new car fares in four cities

Maxim Rides & Food Delivery has introduced new car service rates in Davao City, General Santos City, Tacloban City and Tagbilaran City.

The company now offers four-seater and six-seater options in the four areas. Base fares start at P45 for the four-seater service and P55 for vehicles that can carry up to six passengers.

Bookings are assigned to newer air-conditioned vehicles operated by legally registered driver-partners, according to Maxim.

Passengers can view the fare in the Maxim app before they confirm a booking. The platform calculates the amount according to the distance of the shortest available route instead of using a taximeter.

The fixed amount shown before the ride gives passengers an estimate of their transport expenses. It can also reduce disputes over longer routes, altered meters, or unexpected charges at the end of a journey.

“The new rates give passengers more choices for getting around their cities at competitive prices,” Maxim Rides & Food Delivery president Andres Morales Jr. said. “We want to provide a reliable and comfortable transportation option that meets their everyday needs.”

Maxim is also inviting private vehicle owners to register as driver-partners. New partners can accept bookings without paying commission, while rates for existing partners are calculated individually. The company claims that its commission charges are among the lowest in the local market.

The transport and delivery platform began Philippine operations in Cebu in 2020. It has since expanded to 22 other cities across the country.
