Visayas at Mindanao Grid nasa red alert

Nasa red alert ang Visayas at Mindanao Grid dahil sa mga power outage na dulot ng pagkapalya ng ilang planta sa ilalim ng National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).

Matagal ang red alert sa Visayas Grid, na nagsimula alas-1 ng hapon at inaasahang tatagal hanggang alas-10 ng gabi bago muling ibaba sa yellow alert.

Tinatayang aabot sa 2,575 megawatts ang peak demand sa Visayas, habang 2,187 megawatts lamang ang available capacity ng grid.

Samantala, isinailalim din sa red alert ang Mindanao Grid mula alas-12 ng tanghali hanggang alas-9 ng gabi dahil hindi nito kayang tugunan ang peak demand na umaabot sa 2,546 megawatts.
