Calapan police conduct anti-bullying awareness, lockdown drill in Oriental Mindoro

The Calapan City Police Station conducted an anti-bullying awareness session and lockdown drill at Nagiba II National High School in Barangay Nagiba II on 3 September 2026, as part of efforts to promote a safer learning environment.

Police personnel led by PCMS Rayman Rayos, Operations PNCO, and PCpl Shekinah T. Moreno, FJGAD PNCO, under the supervision of PLTCOL Michael C. Caraggayan, Chief of Police, facilitated the activity with personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Calapan City.

Moreno discussed the various forms of bullying, its effects on students, and measures to prevent and address bullying incidents.

Rayos, meanwhile, briefed students on proper lockdown procedures and safety measures during emergencies. Students were reminded to remain calm, follow instructions, seek secure locations, and stay alert to their surroundings.

The activity sought to raise students’ awareness of bullying prevention while strengthening their preparedness for emergency situations.

The initiative also highlighted the importance of coordination among law enforcement, fire responders, and school communities in maintaining safe and secure learning environments in Oriental Mindoro.
