‘Pulong’ challenges NBI: Pursue flood control probe

Davao City — First District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte said his family is not afraid of a planned investigation by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) into their family-owned properties, calling on authorities to ensure the probe remains fair and free from political bias.

In a public statement released on social media, the lawmaker insisted that any investigation must rely on solid evidence rather than political motives.

“If you want to do a job, do it properly and fairly so that the public has a reason to believe in you,” Duterte said.

“And if you really have a case build-up against us, no problem. But make sure you also have a case against those involved in the flood control controversy along with your bosses,” he added.

Duterte warned against political intimidation, criticizing political opponents over their methods.

“And for those who think everything will pass through threats, harassment, or political persecution, we are not afraid,” Duterte said.

“That’s the hard part for spoiled brats who are afraid of losing power and fear of elections when they feel they are losing control, they do everything to intimidate and corner,” he added.
