MMDA freezes Monday coding

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will suspend the Expanded Number Coding Scheme on Monday, 31 August, in observance of National Heroes Day.

“The implementation of the Expanded Number Coding Scheme will be suspended on Monday, August 31, 2026, a special regular holiday commemorating National Heroes Day,” its advisory read.

The MMDA reminded motorists to plan their trips and continue following traffic regulations.

“Plan your trip carefully to avoid any problems on the road. Follow traffic rules and drive safely,” the agency said.
