Trump announces $65B Venezuela oil deal

President Donald Trump announced a sweeping oil agreement with Venezuela that he says will give the United States majority control of more than 65 billion barrels of proven Venezuelan oil reserves.

Trump said the deal would more than double US oil reserves, increase supply and help “substantially lower Gas Prices,” while strengthening economic ties between Washington and Caracas.
