Kangaroo rescued after being trapped in deep mud

A kangaroo was rescued after becoming completely trapped in a deep mud pit near an airport, with only its ears reportedly visible above the sludge.

A construction worker spotted the exhausted animal and called wildlife rescuers, who dug her out, gave her a warm bath and provided treatment. After a month of rehabilitation with other kangaroos, she is reportedly thriving and nearly ready to return to the wild.
