DOCTOR WAKES UP TO BAT IN HER MOUTH

Virginia gastroenterologist Dr. Krista Edelman woke to a terrifying discovery: a bat trying to burrow into her mouth. The bat later tested negative for rabies, but Edelman still received rabies shots as a precaution and is now warning others to seek medical advice after possible bat exposure, even when no bite is visible.
