Police serve recommitment order vs convicted drug offender in Muntinlupa

Police served an arrest and recommitment order against a convicted drug offender at the Muntinlupa City Jail-Male Dormitory in Barangay Tunasan on Wednesday, 26 August.

The subject, identified only as alias Karl, 28, is a person deprived of liberty and a resident of Barangay Putatan, Muntinlupa City.

He was previously listed as a most wanted person in connection with his conviction for violation of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, under Criminal Case No. 13-791.

At about 4:45 p.m., police operatives served the order issued by Board of Pardons and Parole Chairperson Sergio Calizo Jr.

Karl was sentenced to an indeterminate prison term of four years and two months to eight years and one day and fined ₱400,000.

Southern Police District director Brig. Gen. Glenn Oliver Cinco commended Muntinlupa City Police Station personnel for promptly serving the order.

“The SPD will continue to enforce court and executive orders and ensure that persons convicted of crimes comply with the penalties imposed by law,” Cinco said.
