EPD seizes over P1M illegal drugs in one week

The Eastern Police District (EPD) seized illegal drugs worth an estimated P1,197,712 in standard drug price during a six-day intensified campaign against illegal narcotics from 17 to 22 August.

The EPD conducted 56 anti-illegal drug operations through coordinated enforcement actions involving district headquarters personnel and drug enforcement units. The operations led to the arrest of 62 drug suspects and the confiscation of 174.64 grams of shabu and 44 grams of marijuana.

The Eastern Police District (EPD) continues to strengthen its commitment to operational integrity, transparency, and proactive public safety through community-centered policing that prioritizes the welfare of residents.

The district said its efforts are aimed at building a disciplined and accountable police organization that earns public trust while strengthening crime prevention at the community level. These initiatives also seek to protect local businesses, promote a secure environment, and support long-term economic growth.

The EPD also maintains intensified law enforcement operations against criminal elements across eastern Metro Manila while expanding partnerships with local communities and other stakeholders.
