Go ties for 23rd after 68

Lloyd Jefferson Go capped a strong finish at the Indonesian Pro-Am with a birdie on his final hole Friday, carding a 3-under-par 68 to tie for 23rd at Gunung Geulis Country Club.

The 25-year-old Filipino opened his round with back-to-back birdies before giving one back on the par-4 third. He recovered with birdies on Nos. 6 and 9 to make the turn at 3-under.

Go continued to attack the course on the back nine, making two birdies and two bogeys before closing with a birdie to complete a 68.

The result capped an impressive late charge for Go, who played his final 36 holes in 7-under par after struggling to find his rhythm earlier in the tournament.

Go’s performance also provided a bright spot for the Philippine contingent, with Sean Ramos, the lone Filipino ranked in the Asian Development Tour’s Magic 10, missing the cut.

China’s Xu Andi captured the title at 18-under par after firing a closing 7-under 65. Australia’s Darcy Brereton matched Xu’s 65 but settled for solo second at 17-under.

Korea’s Minhyeok Yang finished third at 15-under after a 64, while Philippine ADT Open champion Michele Ortolani of Italy closed with a 66 to finish fourth at 14-under.

The Indonesian Pro-Am formed part of the Asian Development Tour calendar, giving players valuable opportunities to earn ranking points and strengthen their positions in the season-long race.
