Filipino flavors and children’s art come together in BGC weekend buffet

Filipino regional dishes take center stage at F1 Hotel Manila BGC throughout August as the hotel marks Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa with a themed weekend lunch buffet and art sessions for children.

Offered at F All Day Dining, the buffet is now available on both Saturdays and Sundays, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. The expanded weekend schedule pairs a rotating selection of Filipino specialties with international dishes, seafood, breads and desserts.

Executive chef Billy Laigo leads the culinary team in preparing dishes from different parts of the country. Among those featured during the month are chicken binakol, bringhe, laing, lechon belly, ginataang kuhol, batchoy, chicken inasal, kare-kare, igado, pancit canton, lumpiang Shanghai and okoy.

The regional emphasis gives diners a broad sampling of the country’s culinary traditions — from the coconut-rich dishes of Southern Luzon and the Visayas to the hearty noodle soups and grilled specialties associated with other regions. The menu changes each weekend, with a different regional dish serving as the weekly highlight.

Filipino breads, including pandesal, pinagong and putok, are served at the bread station. The dessert selection includes familiar delicacies such as leche flan, puto bumbong and pastillas.

Alongside the buffet, children may join a weekend art session conducted in partnership with Enigma Art Tutorial. Each participant receives a small art kit for the activity. Slots are limited, and advance reservations are recommended.

The Filipino-themed Weekend Lunch Buffet runs every Saturday and Sunday until the end of August 2026. The regular rate is P2,299 per person, while a promotional “Hot Deals” rate of P1,379 per person is also available.
