Mondelēz International, DENR-EMB launch “Miming and Friends” final episode

Mondelēz International Philippines, in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources–Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB), launched the fifth and final episode of the Miming and Friends sustainability series, titled The Greenhouse Monster Part 2, at LOLA Cafe Broadway in Quezon City.

Launched in 2022 with ocean conservation group Save Philippine Seas, the five-episode animated series uses Filipino storytelling to teach children and families about waste segregation, plastic recycling, composting, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

The event also featured the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between Mondelēz International and DENR-EMB, formalizing their commitment to environmental education and sustainable practices in Filipino communities.

In the latest episode, the characters discover that the “greenhouse monster” is a result of excessive pollution. They work with their community to promote waste sorting, recycling, and composting, highlighting how small collective actions can help address environmental challenges.

The collaboration brings together government, the private sector, civil society, and Filipino creators Ramon del Prado and Meryll Yan to make environmental education accessible through animation.

Since its establishment in 2020, Miming and Friends has grown to more than 121,000 YouTube subscribers and received YouTube’s Silver Play Button in January 2026. Its content is also used by schools, NGOs, teachers, and DENR as educational material.
