Ashtine Olviga joins Korean-Filipino action film ‘The Guardian’

Ashtine Olviga is set to make a special appearance in the upcoming Korean-Filipino action film The Guardian, which opens in Philippine cinemas on 2 September.

VIVA Films announced the casting through a character poster featuring the actress, describing the project as a Korean-Filipino cinematic action event directed by acclaimed South Korean filmmaker Jeong Jang-hwan.

The film is a collaboration among South Korea’s Parallax Studio Inc. and Will Studios, together with Philippine companies GV Labs, VIVA Films and Ovation Productions.

Aside from Olviga, the cast also includes South Korean actors Park Eun-hye and Han Jae-suk, alongside Filipino stars Yassi Pressman, Eric Ejercito and Wilbert Ross.

The Guardian marks another cross-border collaboration between the Philippine and South Korean film industries, bringing together talent from both countries in a single action feature.
