P20/kilo ng bigas mananatili hanggang sa pagtatapos ng termino ni PBBM

Tiniyak ni Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. na magpapatuloy ang programa ng pamahalaan na pagbebenta ng bigas sa halagang P20 kada kilo hanggang sa pagtatapos ng termino ng Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa 2028.

Ayon kay Laurel, nakatuon ang Department of Agriculture (DA) na ipagpatuloy ang programa para sa mga kwalipikadong benepisyaryo, partikular ang mga kabilang sa vulnerable sectors.

Sa kasalukuyan, nasa 807 Kadiwa sites na sa buong bansa ang nagbebenta ng P20 kada kilo na bigas.

Target naman ng DA na mapalawak pa ito at umabot sa 2,000 Kadiwa sites sa mga susunod na buwan upang mas marami pang Pilipino ang makinabang sa programa.
