‘Clayface’ brings horror to Gotham

DC Studios is taking audiences into a darker corner of Gotham with Clayface, an upcoming horror thriller that explores the tragic origins of one of the city’s most unsettling villains. Directed by James Watkins and written by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini, the film arrives in Philippine cinemas on 21 October.
Starring Tom Rhys Harries in the title role, Clayface follows Matt Hagen, a man whose dreams of becoming a Hollywood star are destroyed after a violent encounter leaves him disfigured. Once celebrated as a rising actor, Hagen is forced to confront a new reality when he is abandoned by those around him and turns to an experimental treatment that promises to restore his former appearance.
But the procedure comes with unexpected consequences. As Hagen’s physical transformation progresses, his sense of reality begins to unravel, pushing him toward a dangerous path fueled by obsession, anger and revenge.
