Kia Philippines has partnered with UnionBank of the Philippines to offer credit card installment plans and auto financing options to car buyers.

The arrangement covers all Kia models, including the recently launched Sportage Turbo Hybrid. Customers may use a UnionBank credit card to pay through the bank’s PayEasy program at participating Kia dealerships.

Available installment terms are three, six, 12, 24, or 36 months. Buyers who prefer to settle the amount in one transaction may also use a straight credit card charge.

The program gives customers another way to manage the cost of buying a vehicle. Those applying for a UnionBank Auto Loan may use PayEasy to spread the required down payment over several months.

This allows qualified customers to combine a conventional car loan with a credit card installment plan for the initial payment.

UnionBank credit card holders may also earn applicable card rewards from the transaction, subject to the bank’s terms and conditions.

“Our focus at Kia Philippines remains rooted in delivering purposeful innovation and exceptional service that integrates into the lives of Filipino motorists,” Kia Philippines managing director Jay Lopez said.

Mukul Sukhani, UnionBank executive vice president and cards and consumer loans head, said the partnership gives cardholders more options when paying for a vehicle.

“This partnership is all about enhancing the customer experience, making it easier for our cardholders to enjoy greater flexibility, convenience, and peace of mind when managing their purchases,” Sukhani said.

Kia Philippines said the PayEasy program will first be available at 19 dealerships across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

The partnership gives Kia buyers an alternative to paying the full down payment in cash. It may also help customers divide a high upfront cost into smaller monthly amounts, although approval, credit limits, interest charges, and other conditions will depend on UnionBank’s applicable policies.
