Bongbong brings housing, agri aid to Duterte turf
The President also traveled to Davao de Oro for the ‘Bawat Bayan Makikinabang’ program, where he distributed farm machinery, livelihood assistance, and agricultural inputs, including four-wheel tractors, combine harvesters and 15,000 fingerlings.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Tuesday visited Davao, the political stronghold of the Duterte family, where he turned over housing units and agricultural assistance to beneficiaries of government programs.
In Davao City, Marcos visited People’s Ville, a condominium-style housing project under the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program, where the beneficiaries thanked the government for providing them with affordable homes.
Residents Ruselbence Pepito and Jake Jamena said the project enabled their families to own decent homes through affordable monthly amortizations.
People’s Ville is a 14-hectare vertical housing development designed to accommodate 7,200 housing units across 72 buildings. So far, 26 buildings with 2,600 units have been completed, benefiting more than 400 families.
The President also traveled to Davao de Oro for the “Bawat Bayan Makikinabang” program, where he distributed farm machinery, livelihood assistance and agricultural inputs, including four-wheel tractors, combine harvesters, and 15,000 fingerlings.
He also witnessed the sale of about 14,000 kilos of subsidized rice under the government’s “Benteng Bigas, Meron Na!” program.
He later led the turnover of P113 million from the Socio-Civic Projects Fund to 565 barangays in Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte and Davao Occidental to support local development projects.
