Liquor ban set in QC for SONA

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said Friday it will strictly enforce a liquor ban across Quezon City from 12:01 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday during President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s fifth State of the Nation Address.

The ban is pursuant to Executive Order No. 24, Series of 2026, issued by Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, which prohibits the sale, distribution and consumption of alcoholic beverages during the specified period.

The QCPD warned that individuals and establishments violating the order may face penalties under existing laws and local ordinances.

Police also urged business establishments, liquor retailers, restaurant operators and the public to comply with the directive.
