SPD seizes drugs worth P6.9M

More than a kilogram of suspected shabu worth nearly P6.9 million was seized by the Southern Police District (SPD) during a series of anti-drug operations over a 24-hour period.

The operations, conducted from 5:59 a.m. on 17 July to 6 a.m. the next day, led to the arrest of six alleged drug personalities and the confiscation of about 1,012.61 grams of shabu, 10 grams of marijuana and three grams of cocaine.

Police placed the total standard drug price of the seized illegal drugs at P6,902,848, with shabu accounting for almost the entire haul.

Apart from the anti-drug operations, the SPD arrested 33 other law violators in separate operations.

Twenty-three individuals were arrested in nine anti-illegal gambling operations, during which authorities confiscated P4,368 in bet money.

Meanwhile, 10 manhunt operations resulted in the arrest of one most wanted person and nine other wanted individuals.

Police also reported apprehending 2,231 violators of local ordinances as part of intensified law enforcement efforts across southern Metro Manila.
